About Scott Taylor

Music has been an obsession of studio founder and president Scott Taylor’s since he was a kid. He was never far from a radio and the tunes on his Sony Walkman ran far and wide, from hip hop and reggae to yacht rock and everything in between.

 

Scott first dipped a toe into recording in the early 90’s playing music with friends in college and capturing those early sessions on an analog four track. As his collection of gear expanded far beyond those early days, so did his expertise. He honed his natural voice talent, doing corporate and educational vocal work. And he pursued studies with Portland engineering expert Don Thompson to expand his analog and digital recording techniques and has developed a mastery of the entire process from capture to mixing and mastering.  

 

10 years ago, after decades of experience managing complex projects and operations for companies in multiple industries, Scott founded KO Audio to provide clients with customized audio and recording expertise. His goal is to offer a space that makes people comfortable, complementing that with a collaborative recording and production experience that draws out the very best of each and every project regardless of size, type or scale. 

 

Scott brings a finely tuned musician’s ear to the studio. He’s performed with a diverse array of musical projects playing bass, guitar, and drums both live and in studio. He’s also composed backing tracks for corporate and film projects. In addition, as a voice talent specializing in corporate work, Scott has extensive experience as the voice of state testing programs, court case tutorial and film narration among other projects.
